JOURNEY

A Journey to
Abide in Christ

A discipleship experience designed to help you know Jesus more deeply, hear His voice through His Word, and walk with Him every day.

Come as you are. Abide in Christ.

WHAT IS JOURNEY?

Learning to Walk With Jesus

Journey is more than a Bible study. It’s an intentional discipleship experience that helps men and women cultivate a deeper relationship with Christ through Scripture, prayer, journaling, authentic relationships, and daily obedience.

Journey is designed to move beyond simply learning about God. Together, participants learn how to meet with God personally through His Word, recognize His voice, and respond in faithful obedience.

Through intentional spiritual practices and authentic relationships, Journey helps believers develop a lifestyle of abiding in Christ that extends far beyond the nine-month experience.

Transformation begins by abiding.

BEGIN HERE

Journey to the Inner Chamber

Most Journey groups begin with a six-week discussion of Journey to the Inner Chamber by Rocky Fleming before participants commit to the full nine-month Journey.

The 6-Week Introduction

Journey to the Inner Chamber is an allegory about the spiritual progression of a person and God’s desire for intimacy with us.

This six-week introduction helps participants understand the heart of Journey and prayerfully discern whether they are ready to continue into the full nine-month discipleship experience.

STEP ONE

Start with the Invitation

Before beginning the full Journey, most groups first spend six weeks reading and discussing Journey to the Inner Chamber. This creates space to understand the heart of Journey, ask questions, and listen for how the Lord may be leading.

Begin slowly.
Listen prayerfully.

THE PROCESS

How Journey Works

Journey combines small group discussion, personal time with God, journaling, experienced Guides, and retreat experiences to help participants grow in intimacy with the Father.

Small Group Meetings

Journey groups meet weekly or every other week for about 9 to 10 months, either in person or online. Groups create space for candid conversations, spiritual discoveries, and mutual encouragement.

Personal Bible Study

Journey helps participants learn how to connect with God through His Word. Journaling is one of the key tools used to help cultivate a hunger for Scripture and become a self-feeder.

Personal Guides

Every Journey group has Guides who walk alongside participants. Guides are not teachers or counselors, but facilitators who help point participants in the right direction.

Retreat Experiences

Journey incorporates three retreat experiences where participants spend extended time away with their group and with the Lord. These are designed to create more space for intimacy with the Father.

The Invitation

Journey is an invitation to slow down, open God’s Word, listen for His voice, and learn to abide in Christ in everyday life.

The Fruit

As participants learn to abide in Christ, they grow in spiritual maturity and become equipped to influence others for His Kingdom.

JOURNEY MATERIALS

Everything You Need

Once you begin the full Journey, each participant will need a Journey Pack containing the books and resources used throughout the discipleship experience.

The Journey Pack includes the core books, journals, and study resources that participants use throughout the Journey. These materials are designed to support your daily time with the Lord and your discussions with your Journey group.

JOHN 15

“I am the vine; you are the branches.”

“Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

John 15:5

Come as you are.
Abide in Christ.
